Commissioner Miller has successfully lead the Bethlehem Police Department through its first CALEA and PLEAC accreditation. The Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies Inc. is a Gold standard of Public Safety that’s set national standards for Law Enforcement to follow.
The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania offers through the Pennsylvania Chiefs of Police Association a state wide accreditation known as Law Enforcement Accreditation Program or PLEAC. Sheriff Miller led the Northampton County Sheriff’s Department, in a short 15 months, to become only the second Sheriff’s department in Pennsylvania to achieve such accreditation.
L.E.S. consulting is not an agency that provides accreditation services directly to the law enforcement agencies but works with several accreditation managers and can act as a conduit to full accreditation.
Commissioner/Sheriff Miller wants to complement all officers, civilians and deputies who’s hard work in the Bethlehem Police Department and the Northampton County Sheriff’s Department on the accreditation process made it possible.
